Dear the Woman Who Feels Guilty for Wanting More

Dear the Woman Who Feels Guilty for Wanting More

Nobody prepares you for the guilt that comes with wanting more.

More peace.

More joy.

More purpose.

More time.

More life.

We're taught to be grateful.

And we should be.

But gratitude and longing can exist in the same heart.

You can love your family and still crave time alone.

You can appreciate your job and still know it's no longer where you're meant to be.

You can have a beautiful life and still feel like something is missing.

That doesn't make you selfish.

It makes you human.

Somewhere along the way, women were taught that wanting more meant we weren't thankful enough.

I don't believe that.

I think wanting more is often your soul reminding you that you've outgrown the life you built for the woman you used to be.

Growth feels uncomfortable because it asks you to leave behind a version of yourself that kept everyone else happy.

But maybe...

The next version of you is waiting on the other side of one brave decision.

You're allowed to be grateful for your life and still want to grow.
